Life on the road: what it's really like

When I am not opening for many bands/artists, I am constantly travelling and always on the road to meet new people and promote my name.

I have been living, working and traveling full-time in my RV (in North America) since June 20018 and I love it. I spent 9 months researching, prepping, planning and budgeting before hitting the road – and recommend people do that first so you are better prepared.

I follow the weather ie. north in the summer, south in the winter and can pick and choose the weather, states, cities, climates, events I want to spend time in – and change if I don’t like it. Wherever you are, you’re always home. So this makes a huge difference (to me at least) in feeling more grounded even though I may move every other week or so.

I find lots of other people/fans on the road - very friendly, warm, generous and helpful people. It took a few months but I have managed to build a wonderful new community of people and friends that we reconnect with as our paths cross along the way.

You can also find some useful articles (and videos) to help you get more detail of what you would expect.
